Voice Lessons
Music is a conversation that never ends. Uplifting, encouraging and strengthening. The impact you make depends on how you use your voice, what you say, and how you say it.
Because singing is a natural extension of the speaking voice, first studying how we say something helps us to eloquently transfer it later into song. We boost confidence and build strength in self-expression through the integration of continual, in-depth study of singing: a vocal practice.

Singing is a science and an art that requires attention to detail. Through weekly lessons, Voices by Bach singers enjoy vocal development experiences which are the building blocks of musical excellence and beauty of tone.
Together we address and explore vocal freedom and deepen your understanding of your instrument. In addition to the technical aspects of singing, we carefully select and utilize vocal repertoire to support the development of each singer.
Musical skills & proficiencies
As a career music educator I recognize the importance of music literacy for singers. Supplemental work on music theory, ear training, sight singing, and International Phonetic Alphabet are available as needed by each singer. Supplement your singing lesson with work in these key areas and watch your newfound confidence enhance your overall music abilities.
Audition Prep
From children’s musical theatre to college scholarship auditions and professional singing roles, Voices by Bach vocal studio will position you for success. My students have been accepted into the most prestigious university music programs and have won top honors during local, state-wide, and national vocal competitions, proving my expertise in this area.
Preparation for each audition begins months ahead in the selection of repertoire that will showcase each singer’s talents and abilities. I am often called upon to help singers in the final stages of audition polishing. I take great pride in my students and am dedicated to the process of preparation.
Performance Recitals
Bi-annually recitals will be held in January and June .
GROUP RECITALs
Performance is an additional educational component in our studio. Students benefit from the opportunity to perform and to study what other singers are doing well. Recitals accomplish both aspects for us.
MASTERCLASSES
A master class is a unique event. A master class is a public class given by an expert in the field of voice for exceptionally well prepared students. We are blessed to live in the Bay Area with so many incredible artists willing to share their knowledge and experience.
As American operatic lyric-coloratura mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato shared at the start of one of her masterclasses, “We are not dealing with the finished product today; we are dealing with process. There is no finished product without process. Talent is fabulous, but work brings you the other 90 percent [of what you need.] That is the exciting/frustrating thing about it. This class is a discovery process, not a performance.”
